Ok the subject itself may not be everyone’s top landscapes, but that isn’t the point. Here you have provided an excellent composition of the given landscape! Wonderful play with the lines, spaces and forms! The 3 sheep set a perfect eye catcher on the top! The light underlines the grafical based composition. Very good Mark!!!! regards Bert

  Interestingly - these fields , below the village of Gunnerside - are amongst the most photographed fields in Britain.
  Usually - the pictures take in more of the dense, curving walls.
  In my opinion - even i have taken many better pictures of the swaledale landscape - but , i can't help paying homage to these fields when i see them.

  Yes - the tight, curving walls, and the simple barns are part of Swaledale's own, peculiar, landscape. Mark.

  Thankyou. The light was a bit strong at 10 a.m. - but never mind. The patterns of the walls around the very small fields, in this area, is a popular subject to photograph.Mark.
