Before Eden the Garden Was Blond
Before the biblical Garden of Eden, It was Blond.
Iceland is one of those places you must dig deep to keep both feet on the ground and believe that there must be a reason that is not cynical which describes the island..
I try to shoot landscapes , well that is I have side tracked the task and like a moth to flames head to the people and stare in their gaze as if it is a light in the night.
In New york, Paris, London, Rome, Berlin, we are disturbed by the cry to improve humanity.
A child in Africa learns to love his AK47, and abandon a toy once discarded by a child that is long gone , and buried beneath the earth and already digested by ants. Both forced to kill other children for an adult cause.. The guns supplied by China, bombs by America. Yet on this Block of ice called Iceland, a new garden of eden is assimilated in my vision, I now say the Eden wasaround before christ. and nothing but blond children and no adults.
When will ainsty and relocation programs learn that you can't go into violent countries and relocate violent people into to peaceful countries without creating cries. Hawaii was like Iceland. Then the English and Americans came and gave the island Christianity and mosquitoes. Both an unnecessary evil.
Iceland is already infected with people from wrtorn , and opressed countries. in its largest city. what remains is its country side, where life is pure and bitter sweet from the cold winters. With the earth warming , soon this place I call eden will be over run with more cultural change, just like Amsterdam and New York and other cities.

I think, Glenn, we have to face it. It is just this way. Earth is not paradise. Never. Ever. Nowhere. Solace is that there is beauty and humanity. Everywhere. Hopefully, at least.dgraham 16/08/2012 9:46
Very nice, Glenn.
