Thx for your feedback. I'm new to photography and appreciate all comments.Actually me and my family like the picture. I also think having the stairs in front makes it more interesting.
In my opinion it's also not too dark.
I would be happy to have a discussion here. Also with other photographers.
I'm happy if I can learn something.

Your composition would be much better if you cropped most of the subway staircase. It does not add any value.Overall there is too much contrast causing the image to be too dark.
