Brooklyn-Bound M Train on Williamsburg Bridge
In addition to carrying vehicular traffic, the Williamsburg Bridge, connecting Manhattan's Lower East Side (*) with the
Williamsburg section of Brooklyn over the East River, supports two tracks of the New York City Subway system,
carrying trains of the J, Z, and M lines between the two boroughs. In this view, looking toward the Brooklyn end of
the bridge, a Brooklyn-bound M train of R160 railcars has just passed under the photographer's position.
The photo was taken in late afternoon on a summer day, on Ilford Delta-100 black and white film,
ISO set at 64, in a Pentax ME-Super SLR, through a Takumar 28mm f/2.8 lens with No.25 Red filter.
