Brooklyn Heights Promenade - No. 1
The Brooklyn Heights Promenade looks out over the East River and New York's broad harbor.
This couple was enjoying the sunshine of an afternoon in early summer, and a cold treat.

B/W is the perfect choice for this motif. But what I like best is the virtuosic layout of all the lines, which is supported by the pedestrians shadows. Their shadows perfectly blend into the fences´ shadows and form a perfect angle to the lower fence. The interaction of all these lines and their perfect angles is the photo´s main motif. The upper pedestrians are kind of an added bonus as they loosen up the strong lines without destroying their harmony. Apart from that they add a "human touch" and breathe some life into the scenery.Storyteller 04/08/2015 8:21
Good b&w composition. I like the light and the dark shadows.Greetings,
