Cat Napping in the Sun
There’s something lithe and sensuous about a cat stretched out in the sun, taking, well ... a catnap.
Discovered in the course of a perfect summer afternoon for photography, the sky deep blue with lots of puffy
cumulus, this lithe “kitty” is taking in the summer sunshine, the cumulus-rich sky reflected in her bright red boot.
The E-Type (XK-E), produced from 1961 to 1974, was “Domesticated. Not declawed” as described in a Jaguar magazine ad.
Under her bonnet slumbers the venerable Jaguar 4.2 litre inline six, ready at a
moment’s notice to stir, purr, and snarl depending on the position of her owner’s foot.
Enzo Ferrari, builder of some other quite iconic machines sporting a shiny red skin,
may well have been correct when he called the E-Type "The most beautiful car ever made".
PurrrRROWLL!

Shall I be honest? When I encounter one these days I don´t have a bit of envy for the driver since - apart from the timeless design - it seems to me as a some sort of masochism, the more so with closed roof.
And they were never free of teething troubles, at that!
But, a good shot anyway!
Best regards,
Tom
