Chinatown
Victoria's Chinatown is the oldest on the west coast of North America. In the late 1800's, after the Gold Rush and completion of the railway, Chinese laborers, not welcome elsewhere, congregated here.
2 hand-carved stone Lions from Suchow, China flank the entrance of the "Gate of Harmonious Interest".
