Civic Pride on a Saturday Morning in a Park in Queens
Just a quick candid moment I was able to grab, as I happened to look back from the East River vistas (*) I was shooting on a sunny Saturday morning in September in Astoria Park, Queens, at this vividly decorated wall beneath the Hell Gate Bridge. But it’s a moment I like very much, as it speaks to civic pride of residents of the neighborhood, of whom these were but two examples, in keeping their lovely stretch of parkland along the river litter-free.
Lady Liberty would seem to approve.
Captured at the long end of the most handy Zeiss 24-200mm (35mm equivalent) lens on my little Sony RX100M6.
