Colliding Waters

in the Salish Sea - part of the Pacific Ocean and just outside of Vancouver - where ebb and flood meet at a drastic colour difference ... although we sail across often, I have only seen this once .

amazing the different blues, I like the angle of this shot as it allows for the curve like, almost ike a bay, separation of colors, cathy

Diese Aufnahme mit all den Farbkontrasten ist wirklich super und ich finde auch den Bildschnitt Klasse...
Ich mag die Farben und aber auch die kleinen Weller - ganz gelungen, diese Arbeit!

truly amazing!!!! i'm so glad you captured this natural phenomenon for us, adele! would have probably freaked me out, had i been on a sailboat and encountered it without warning: looks a little as though some giant creature is about to surface – expecting the gulls any minute now… ; ))) the aquamarine and shallow looking blue water running into the dark-blue waters of the depths – very beautiful indeed! and a little scary… check this out ; ))):
