Creation #1, "Let there be light"

Creation
Decades ago I was influenced, among others, by the Austrian photographer Ernst Haas. Especially his Book “The Creation” (1971) had left deep impact on me, even now. In later discussions, being asked about this book, he recommended that every passionate photographer should issue his/her own (photo) book considering this subject. Since a longer time, whenever I discovered an interesting subject which may fit to this theme, I took a photo and another one and so I collected some images….

Due to the extraordinary situation since last year, photography is now not the same as it was
and so, for that I thought about my photographic objectives. Remembering the above-mentioned book, I now started to edit the collection of images that could be part of my “The Creation” book and decided to share these with you here.

Some images that I can imagine are still missing and I hope to get them in the future and so it’s clear for me that this book, even when printed provisionally, will never be finished.

#1 is a photo of a laser beam targeting into the lens, taken at "Jülich Research Centre"

having a look on Freeman‘s website I can agree that he has spectacular images quite close to the style of Ernst Haas. Beside that it seems that he works on a similar narrative - the visualization of nature‘s evolution and beauty. I’m going to look for one of his books....regards, stay save Berthold
