african queen, yes! and all kinds of other archetypal "swamp settings" pop up in my mind! the mysterious little black hut, for example, reminds me of the southern-style swamp home owned by two muskrats starring in the disney classic "the rescuers" ; ). naturally, baby moses adrift in his little basket comes to mind, too, with the walls of reed already anticipating the parting of the red sea! ; ) a charismatic and epic motif, effectively taken from a worm's-eye view and powerfully rendered in high contrasts! greetings, sabine.
