E42Scape No.6 - Winter-Bare Trees, Iconic Towers
I have always loved the seemingly infinite variety of patterns created by winter-bare trees, whether
silhouetted against a dramatic sky or as a counterpoint to the bold forms of soaring urban architecture.
On this photo-enticing December afternoon I was able to enjoy both types of interplay as the skies
over Manhattan were such a lovely backdrop to a couple of favorite Midtown-East skyscrapers.
Here, along E 42nd St, those abstracts of nature frame the iconic Art Deco of the
Chrysler Building and the modern architecture of One Vanderbilt and, at right, Chrysler East.
