Evening atmosphere at Tonlé Sap

The vista over the river Tonlé Sap out the idyllic promenade place in Phnom Penh.
The other side of the river is called Chroy Changvar peninsula.

With this pix done in the late afternoon hours I'm going to start a new series with photos captured on a four day trip to Phnom Penh and its surroundings.

    mein Gott was sich das verändert. Ich kenne Phnom Penh nur ganz ohne Hochhäuser. Ich hoffe man lässt trotzdem genug altes stehen.

      In all den letzten Jahren, seit meiner ersten Tour nach Phnom Penh im März 1997, hat sich Phnom Penh enorm entwickelt. Aus einer einstmals kleinen Hauptstadt wurde eine geschäftsträchtige Großstadt mit mittlerweile 2.2 Millionen Einwohner im Stadtgebiet.
      Viele Hochhäuser stehen unvollendet im Zentrum von Phnom Penh und haben das Stadtbild total verändert. Nichtsdestotrotz aber ist Phnom Penh eine meiner beliebtesten Reiseziele geblieben. Gruß Wolfgang
