@Yasemin: Yes I know: this could seem a madness, but I think you should be Valencian to understand it.
It is impossible to understand this festival without to burn the Falles at the end. Next year, they will come to life again with another forms, another criticisms, to keep on the ritual cycle of death/revival.
Some day you must come in València to see it. :-)

@Cees: this one is the "oficial" Falla (here still under construction), financed by the City Council. Mine is the "Falla Arrancapins", one of the others 350 (aprox.) that you can see throughout the city.
