Fisher net at the Klong Saen Saeb nearby Nong Chok
Fishing surely is the main occupation of all the residents living at the Klong side. The freshwater fish out of this Klong is very much liked by the Bangkokian people.
The Saen Saeb canal was built by the order of King Rama III during the conflict between Siam and Annam about Cambodia, to establish a water transport for soldiers and weapons to Cambodia. The construction started in 1837 and was finished three years after. Since that time many of the moslem Cham people, which were used to dig the canal, still living along the Klong and earn an income by fishing.
(Approximately 4,000 Chams live in Thailand; many of whom have moved south to the Pattani, Narathiwat, Yala, and Songkhla Provinces for work. Cham form the core of the Muslim communities.)

Immer nur mit dem "Mofa" entlang gefahren!
Habe dringend Nachholbedarf!
