    well i am a florist and know that these flowers have delicate stems, but most of the florists stick a metal wire (or twist it around the stem) and stich it so you can see it trhough the flower.. i thought it was that.. if its not, then sorry.

    I have no idea what the black part is but is not a wire is part of the flower. As for the spot yes it is damaged.

    is that the metal wire they use to stick through gerbera flowers? isee a bit of dirt or a damaged spot on one of the flower pettals(?)
