Fox House Paranapiacaba

This is one of two semi-detached house in wood, brick and plain tiles, constructed between 1897 and 1901. The option for implementing sanitary external cavity walls, stone basement and brick liners stacked in rooms and kitchen on the lattice to facilitate the flow of smoke from wood stoves, reveals the preoccupation with the technical comfort and thermal insulation with moisture , typical of the architecture produced in the nineteenth century.

The building was built on a foundation of stones that provide its high, forming a basement.

This ensures the basement ventilation has side openings protected by iron railings with the symbol SPR - St. Paul Railway. This building system is aimed at ensuring the conservation of the property since the amounts of soil timber avoiding contact with moisture in the soil, providing thermal insulation.

This building was also restored by the city of Santo André in partnership with the World Monuments Watch.
