Gardens of the Crystal Palace

The Gardens of the Crystal Palace is a pleasant green space located in the Parish of Massarelos in Porto / Portugal, from which it has fun stunning views over the Douro River and the Sea
These romantic gardens were designed in the 1860s by German landscape architect Emile David, to engage the then Crystal Palace, replaced by Rosa Mota Pavilion in the 1950s.
The Gardens of the Crystal Palace include the so-called "Garden Émile David" which has some beautiful specimens of Rhododendrons, Camellias, Araucaria, and Ginkgos Beeches, beyond allegorical statues and fountains at the year, of course I speak of the principal stations or whatever Garden the entrance of the Palace.
The themed gardens are also represented, including the "Garden of Aromatic Plants", the "Garden of Medicinal", the "Garden of the Twin Cities" (opened in 2009) and even the "Garden of Feelings" (opened in 2007), where is the statue "the Pain" Teixeira Lopes. Other enjoyable spaces are "The Grove", the "Avenue of Chestnut-of-India" and the "Garden of the Rose garden" that is enriched with significant elements of the artistic heritage of the city, not forgetting the "Great Lake" (where was taken this photo) with the island and its many rare specimens, and that once made the delight of many dating couples and married same (myself included) who went there by boat rowing course and playing dating smacking when it could, one was finally afternoon dream, which is now only memories. Nearby magnificent seven specimens of palm trees of California arise.
Adjacent to the gardens of the Crystal Palace are the "Romantic Museum" and "Solar do Vinho do Porto", both in the "Quinta da Macieirinha". Very close is also found in "Tait Farm", filled with gardens collections of roses, camellias, Earrings and Princess-of-a majestic tulipifera Liriodendrum surrounding the "Tait House" where a Numismatic Office works
