geese on a snowy lake
It is well and truely winter here - my home has been surrounded by ice and snow for two weeks. When "cabin fever" begins, I start looking for things to photograph. So I wrapped my Canon in a plastic bag and set it outside for 30 minutes (to prevent condensation of moisture) and then trudged over to a near-by lake.
I thought this sextet of geese made an interesting image with the positions of their wings as they started up into the air.
May your days, however cold and brief, have moments of beauty ...

Thanks everyone!@Luc - I have a terrible time with focusing wildlife shots. I have missed so many with autofocus that I always use manual now, and my "no-line" bifocal eyeglasses are not very good for using manual focus through the viewfinder! On this one I think I autofocused on something at the same distance as the geese, then switched the AF off so the camera wouldn't refocus on the distant trees. In other words, I got lucky ...
