Gondola crossing of Grand Canal

This is the gondola that takes you from one side of the Grand Canal to the other side for 2 euros, on the other side we have Venice's Court and Rialto fish and veggies market.

Hi Mark, I really don't know but I suppose is for speeding up the crossing since many might work on the other side of Grand Canal and the fact that the Court is right on the other side and the market too.

:)) @ Raimo...no it isn't, the cheapest way is to go ahead (10-15 minute walk) until Rialto Bridge and cross it, and it costs nothing :)) (I'm teasing you...)

A much better way to cross that canal than by a boat with a motor....... and it keeps the Gondolier in work.
