at first i thought the hand was reaching up from one of the graves – ooah, scary! ; ) – but then i scrolled all the way down and noticed that it was a sculpture sitting ON a grave… and what a beautiful and expressive sculpture it is! me, i don't see "a cry for help", though, but, surprisingly enough, rather a pair of hands involved in casual arguing. a scholar's grave maybe… very impressively photographed, lawson! love the use of shallow depth of field (hope i have put this right! ; )) to bring out the lively aura of the hands! greetings, sabine.
