Is it really sand ?
YES,it is nothing but sand.A total of 75 tons of it.
How is it done ?
Phase 1: 2 days,4 people.
Sans compacted in wooden formwork.Compactors like those utilised for road building are used.The surface is dampenend regulary to enable better agglomeration.
Phase 2: 6 days,4 people
Sculpture,based on a pre-defined project.To finish it off,water and glue are sprayed onto the surface to make the sculptures more wind-resistant.
Anmerkung
Die Skulpturen sollen am 13.September 2009 zerstört werden.Hoffentlich spielt das Wetter bis dahin nicht allzu sehr verrückt.Wäre schade.

Wow was das für Arbeit macht es ist schon echt Super was Durch Menschenhand erschaffen werden kann. Eine Wunderschöne fotografie gefällt mir sehr.VG Samson
