@Tired Abstract: As far as my own free interpretation of this haiku is concerned I imagined that the first part depicts destruction and the second one construction. Everything is in motion. Sometimes two separate realities join and form a third one as it happens with a seed and the fruitful soil, a woman and a man, a comet and life itself, an idea and a receptive mind. In this case one plus one equals three. Sometimes two separate realities meet and cancel each other as with the two bubbles mentioned here, or when two stars or galaxies collide or sadly when the ocean somehow meets our land. Destruction. One plus one equals in this case nothing. However, we know that nothing can turn into complete void. Every form of destruction generates motion too even though in a different form. This different form of energy becomes then a new seed which should in turn create something new, hopefully something beautiful as a blooming lotus. I hope that the seed generated through this catastrophe will be the fact that people will get closer and understand that we have to work together in order to find balance and support each other. We can survive similar tragedies only by working all together, each with their own specific skills in order to create technologies which improve our lives and prevent people from going through similar disasters. We really need all the people in the world to work together, raise questions and to create real progress in order to find a meaning to explain such a terrible event. Otherwise the equation will really give zero as a result and we'll miss the opportunity to grow and make a little step closer to a proper balance. That's at least my personal interpretation.
