Impression of tulips
I know that for people who use sharpness as the first criteria of a good photo the idea of intentionally removing it is absurd and even provocative. I find this option exciting and particularly relevant when trying to communicate impressions rather than facts.
For many people flowers represent so much more than flowers. Here's an attempt to convey an impression of something more than just tulips.
The technical solution was to place the flowers under a strong light with a dark door opening as a background and photograph them with a Nikon D300 and a Lensbaby Composer.
