In the Greek islands, the name "chora" is usually given to the capital town of the island. Almost always, chora is situated in a well protected and high site of the island, away from the sea to avoid pirate attacks and full of little mazy streets....
Siros is the capital of Cyklades, one of the most thriving islands in the Ottoman ocupation.

Narrow streets - stairs ... Massive walls of houses ...Those old towns was built solidly and are standing many centuries:-)
Composition is perfect with this high bell-tower and perfect sky!
