There is a touching melancholy to this image, perhaps even accentuated by the cool tonality, in imagined contrast to the warmth of intentions of the person who bought the lilies. The brisk stride of the passer-by implies he won't even give a passing glance to these still young blossoms...which ought to be basking in the warm sunshine, in a vase by one's window, being appreciated while still vibrant. They deserved better...
Your spare title allows one to imagine the "back story".
