i'm always amazed at how musicians treat their instruments ever so tenderly, as though they are their friend, lover, pet etc. this one here is no exception: he seems to be coaxing the tune right out of his instrument*, making it feel snug and comfortable against his lap so that it almost appears to be purring – or so i imagine it… ; )) another great "intimate portrait" of this musically involved twosome! ; ) greetings, sabine.

*i'm using this word because i'm not exactly sure what it is he's playing – a jazz guitar, a viola, something else? this is totally embarrassing, i know…
