Just Another Day in DUMBO - a Brooklyn Moment
It was a very warm, summer-like day on my last visit to DUMBO in early October.
The acronym stands for the area "down under the Manhattan Bridge overpass," and the cobblestone streets
of this lively district along the East River in Brooklyn are lined with re-purposed former factory and warehouse
buildings, many of which were served by the railway whose tracks can still be seen at many points along the streets..
The photo shoot was taking place on this Sunday afternoon along Plymouth Street.
I should mention that neither the lovebirds being photographed nor the intrepid photog were in any
danger of being mowed down. The big truck is stationary and dispensing frozen custard to pedestrians!
