      We like "the theatre by the lake"  at keswick.
      I also like Booth's food shop - the large, independent supermarket in the town.
      The road in to Keswick , from Penrith , is one of my favourite roads - because of the views of the two hills - Blencathra and Skiddaw - ahead, and to the right.

      My favorite is Grasmere , where we visited Wordsworth House and I like this special Ginger Bread, I had to stand a while in a queue to buy it ;-)), bur I didn't buy enough ;-) We had only 3 days in the Lake District, could spent there weeks! Perhaps 2023 ;-) Katy

      I thought ginger bread was a german invention.
      Torun, (now in Poland) seemed to be famous for it.
