Koh Ta Pu in Phang Nga

The wordlwide famous needle rock called Koh Ta Pu was in 1974’s the island in the James Bond movie 007 “The Man with the Golden Gun".

My photo was captured after my second visit in 1988 which was an insider tip that time but in the meantime this tourist attraction has developed into a stronghold for mass tourism, with all the associated disadvantages of the destruction of the beach landscape and the price gouging of the hundreds of longtail boat skippers.
My attached photo also shows our visit in 1988 with my daughter Sylvia in the foreground 6 yoears old that time, when we were the only visitors in 1988.
Photo was captured with a CANON A1 camera and a Kodachrome 64 ASA slide film. Scanned with a Nikon CoolScan V ED.
