Larch Valley - No.1
Larch Valley is a plateau high above Moraine Lake in the Canadian Rockies. In autumn,
it puts on quite a colorful show as the Lyall's Larches turn from green to shades of gold.
Naturally, most of my shooting on this photo-enticing September day was in color,
but Mother Nature's vivid display also invited some black and white photography.
This view, captured on Ilford Pan 400 film, presents the contrast between
the golden larches and the evergreens against the craggy peaks.
