Looking for the summer pebble....
Time for long, cold and windy winter to withdraw and be replaced by another overwelming and so welcome summer spell. The sea still agitated reflects the last menacing roars of the dying beast and spreads it's foam over the beach pebbles that are still shivering from the winter touch. But the little girl, defiant and under the spell of the granny's fairytale, is already in search for the summer pebble....

…and, as little girls tend to do, she is leaving no stone unturned! ; ) what a beautiful flow of poetic words, alexander! reading them feels equally precious as letting those first ice-cold waves of early spring roll over one's toe to tickle them into consciousness after a long spell of winter stupor! ; )) "the summer pebble" – what a nice vehicle to evince that summer feeling!! a winter rock is a cumbersome thing: shy, heavy, in permanent fear of the elements and thus clinging to the sandy ground for dear life. a summer pebble, however, is light, agile, smooth, jingly, brimming with love for both water and wind, a vagabond at heart, experiencing a tingle of delight, when touched or pushed by a wave or tickled by a curious sun ray! ; ) a beautiful martime image, alexander! the light caressing the exposed winter rocks, trying to make them feel better and forget their hardships ; ), and the whitecaps rolling in in the aftermath of winter – very beutiful indeed! greetings, sabine.adriana lissandrini 25/04/2015 22:51

A superb scene showing the rough water as it comes ashore and the yong girl is well placed as she looks for those special pebbles, but what brings it all together for me are the words. Whether they are yours or they come from some story makes no matter, they are perfect for this picture.:))

Good range of tones, depth to the scene and the fg feel it tilts to the left:-)) Harold
