Main Street Sunday

Well, while taken on a Sunday, it's actually King Street in the town of Strasburg
in Virginia's Shenandoah Valley. But for me, it is an evocation of the sort of "universal"
small town Americana "Main Street" motif that could be found in any region of the U.S.
Note the iconic presence of the public telephone sign at upper left.

Another touch of small town Americana...

I love this photo - simply because it says without words "America!" :-). It´s (from my German view) such a typical American motif - one that could even be a part of German catalogues for American decoration articles - that (in an absolute positive way) I have fallen for this delightful view in general, and in detail for all those lovely typical American items.
