Michigan | Mighty Mac |
The Mackinaw Bridge spans the Straits of Mackinac and connects the upper and lower peninsula of Michigan.
Its one of the world´s largest suspension bridges. Overall its a 5 miles drive from shoreline to shoreline.
The center of the bridge is about 200ft (61m) above water level. Erection started in 1952 and the bridge with the nickname "Mighty Mac" was formally dedicated in 1958.

A beautiful piece of engineering art. Beautiful design of a suspention bridge with the green colors. The Brooklyn Bridge was from 1883. Time flies.Great photo that captures everything : )
