The making of :

This shot was made during a dark but warm summer night.

I took a glass plate and placed it on 4 wooden sticks about one meter above the ground of a grass field.
Then I illuminated the glass plate from above with a bright led spot light.
The intention was to lure moths that are attracted to light.

Next, I laid down myself on the ground, the head beneath the glass plate and with my camera ready to shoot.
Now I had to wait if a moth would come or not…….

I had the intention to wait half an hour but after 12 minutes it was bingo when this Mother of Pearl landed just above me.

Mission accomplished.
