    soft meadow land in the foreground bordering on a river or lake a little further back and behind it yet cooler colors, a hint of a sleepy village, trees, and the gentle beginning of the mighty alps (?) behind it – yes, very beautiful, especially in its subtly colored understatement and with the thought in mind that bavaria happens to be a region that in the rest of the world often seems to stand for germany in general, as a country full of lederhosen, pretzels, beery cheerfulness… ; )) great effective chlichè busting here, andrea! greetings, sabine. p.s: guess what my post for this week was (no need to comment, i'm adding it just for fun!). ; ):
