There was pollution too:-))))
but they didn't talk about it... in 1970 i saw the beaches of the Italian Riviera empty... and with good weather... only when i arrived in Portugal I read in the newspapers that the italians beaches were prohibited because there was fecal contamination... and then i realized why I had rhinosinusitis :-)))

Fecal contamination of the Lido de Jesolo? How gross!!! But Italy is very special. The fecal contamination must be the work of the mafia:))
