Thanks for info Donald, but I am not often enough anymore in the UK and if so mostly in East Sussex as I lived there for many years and still have nice friends. Hello Ellen,The canal basin although situated in the centre of Coventry has only been accessible to the general public comparatively recently. It lies adjacent to the inner ring road.
The boat in question is privately owned and as far as I know there are no organised tours.
There are though many places where canal boats can be hired by the week. Llangollen in Wales being the most famous.
