Unser Sonderzug musste Wasser nehmen, danach wurde sie Scheineinfahrt nochmal wiederholt, ohne jegliche Dampfentwicklung eine große Enttäuschung.
Dafür bewegte sich das hier:
Eine Class W3 Diesellok der SLR, 1969 von Henschel als Class W1 gebaut, eine Art V90 für Breitspur, und Mitte der 90er Jahre von Adtranz mit Caterpillar-Motoren modernisiert, heute noch im Rangier- und Nahverkehrsdienst anzutreffen, immerhin schon 51 Jahre alt!

Sri Lankan railways Class w3 is a locomotive that can run on any rail track in Sri Lanka. The locomotive is rehabilitated using the class W1 engines which were imported to Sri Lanka in 1969. After 20 years those engines become out of service, SLR officers decide to rebuild the Locomotives with New engines after that SLR have rehabilitated 10 W1 locomotives and named them Class W3. Class W3 Locomotive is partly made in Sri Lanka. If you are a train lover or a fan of Train engines/locomotives in Sri Lanka class w3 has a special place in Sri Lankan railway history.
