New York Aster

The New York Aster, also known as Fall Aster, is an ornamental plant native to Canada and the United States and is widely naturalized in Europe along river shores, salt marshes and damp meadows.

It’s especially valued for its autumn-blooming purple flowers (september to october).
The Aster genus is popular too for use in gardens with over 1000 hybrids and cultivars worldwide.

My shot shows wild specimens.
