rebecca spit? where, when and why? did she create this channel with her saliva?? the name makes my imagination run amuck, trying to figure out who this lady was and what on earth made her spit! ; ) or was it the "layer of earth whose depth is equal to the length of the blade of a spade" that gave it its name? the latter would be a turn-of for me, as the thought of a calamitous lady spitting contemptuously into the water, while hoisting the jolly rogers, is so much more exciting! ; ) in fact, it may even be her in the little boat now, returning to the spot to commemorate her action, so watch out and hide in your bunks until the spit(e)ful lady has passed… ; ) – – beautiful as always, adele! love the juxtaposition of the lonely boat with the pebbled beach! hugs, sabine.
