Ocean Wave Hotel
I spotted this mural while I was wandering around the backstreets of Sydney and I thought it was great. I know Ocean Wave Hotel did exist in Sydney but didn't stand the test of time and was demolished. I don't know, however, if it was exactly at the same place.
PS. After I had uploaded the picture, Sabine Krause, got so interested that she found an original photograph (link below) on the basis of which this mural was obviuosly painted. I didn't edit or process it, it is originally b/w, just added a frame. Thank you, dear Sabine for your effort and your inquiring mind. V.

Intriguing bit of trompe-l'œil in the sense of looking as though you created it from a photograph. Ah, but it IS a photograph of a period mural, which you captured seemlessly. And your simple framing treatment is just the right touch. Nicely done!Compliments,

: ))) like adele, i thought it was an edited picture and was prepared to write that i'm not so fond of this kind of "transformation back into a painting" ; ))). the period look of the people should have raised my suspicions. it's sydney after all, and you aren't a time traveller, are you? ; )))) hugs, sabine.
