Past & Future
Taken inside the Arts Museum in Chicago, Illinois on May 25, 2005.
Who do you want to be?
The old lady looking at the painting of a young lady. Or the young lady immortalized by the painting?
With the influx of technology and modernism, people are so engrossed with research on how to stay young. We are so focused on our physical appearances that we forget what's most important. As they say, it is not the destination that makes our lives worthwhile, but rather the journey that we experience towards that destination.
Photos fade. Beauty fades. Memories fade. All these do not matter because in the end, all that matters is the people we met along the way, the effect we had on them (hopefully, good), the experiences we had to go through, the values we learned from each other, and the wisdom that goes with it.
Happy Birthday to me. :) thanks to all who made my life interesting. See you soon!
