Many of the visitors were coming to visit the amazing decorated penjor which seldom can see on other places than Pengerebongan.

The penjor is a traditional Balinese ornament, primarily seen during the Pengerebongan celebrations.
Made from bamboo, the penjor is a gracefully curved decorative pole, often spanning several meters in length. These ornate poles beautify the streets and compounds of Bali, marking various festive occasions.

I was told hat some of the penjor costs was morre than 2,000 US $, spent for only this ceremony.
