Priest sacrifice the Otonan child
A lowly priest gives prayers for good demons for the good influences to the child who is celebrating the Balinese Otonan birthday on the day.
(The priest is a step higher than a Pemanku priest but not as high as a Pedanda priest. He is called a Tudaci priest and he is a candidate to get Pedanda.)
In the vibrantly captivating Balinese culture, the Otonan ceremony shines as a mark of spiritual devotion and cultural heritage. Rooted in ancient traditions and guided by celestial rhythms, it serves as a reminder of the interconnectedness of human life and divine grace. As Balinese families gather to celebrate this sacred milestone, they honor not only the passage of time but also the enduring spirit of their culture.
