Ready for the Laser boat race
The race we call for "regatta" is fixed in the sailing club.
The Laser boat race was annonced for the race with the Radial sail which is a bit smaller than the normal sail.
The Laser Radial is a variant of the Laser standard, with shorter mast and reduced sail area, allowing light sailors to sail in heavy winds. The International Class is recognised by World Sailing.
In 2009 Keerati Bualong won Gold in the Men's Youth Laser Radial World Championship. He is a Thai sailor. and member in our RVYC. He competed at the 2012 Summer Olympics in the Men's Laser class.
