Ready Reserve Ship Cape Washington, Port of Baltimore
The MV Cape Washington is one of several massive Ready Reserve 'Ro-Ro'
(Roll-on/Roll off) ships stationed at various points along Baltimore's broad harbor.
Her construction began in 1982; she was acquired in 1993 and turned over the following year
to the Department of Transportation's Maritime Administration as part of its Ready Reserve Fleet.
She is stationed in the harbor along the south side of Locust Point, near the Cruise Terminal.
