    @ richard: "denkmalschutz" im klassischen sinne ist in der englischen sprache nicht geläufig. -wie so oft- wird demnach etwas umschrieben:

    denkmalschutz = protection of historical buildings and monuments

    unter denkmalschutz stehen = to be listed; to be protected; to be scheduled; to be under a preservation order

    unter Denkmalschutz stellen = to put a preservation order on; to list; to schedule.

    I managed the contrast. Its not allowed to break down historical buildings like this. It´s called "Denkmalschutz" i dont know the word in english. This tower will stay there til it falls like the line.
