"miaow!" answered vlekje, the cat, "but you know what? soon you will start to wilt, and in a few days from now you will be history. a beautiful history but history nevertheless: gone! six feet under! pushing daisies! but me: i'll still be around catching mice and sniffing flowers!" needless to say, that this revelation came as a crushing blow to the petally narcissist, who started to wilt prematurely, on the spot.
