Rembrandt is staring at a coffeeshop.....
Rembrandtplein (Rembrandt Square) is a major square in central Amsterdam, the Netherlands. It is named after the famous painter Rembrandt van Rijn.
This square, originally known as the Botermarkt (Butter Market), was established in 1668 and built from the remnants of the old city port.
The statue was designed by sculptor Louis Royer.
